- Registration for GPAT – 2011 examination will be ONLINE.
- The GPAT – 2011 examination will be at selected centers throughout India.
- The GPAT – 2011 examination will have multiple choice question ( MCQs ) as GPAT – 2010.
- The syllabus of GPAT – 2011 examination has been revised.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:

the whole pattern has been changed ....Well this is quite stupid.In fact i must say this is very unprofessional to all those authorities sitting there and enjoying , i want to give one advice to you. If you guys were planning to change syllabus of gpat , then u should have notified it in may 2010 , so that students who are planning to appear in 2011 should not waste any time & money on books , tuition's and can make necessary plans , schedules and study itinerary.But now with 5 months in hand you expect us to make new schedule for the study ..The students who are in their final year might not face so much of problem but for those who have dropped , its quite difficult to adapt to new syllabus and that too with 5 months in hand ...Gpat authorities should have notified the change in syllabus in may 2010 i.e right after the Gpat 2010 exam and under all means should have released the new syllabus by august 2010.Well, this is shame on your part and this shows the level of intelligence and thinking of these officials.
i still cant believe it and i think my future is in danger ...my whole confidence level regarding gpat has changed and now im under 200 % more stress.Thanks to the authorities
Hey friend, i can understand your situation....i too agree with you regarding the early notification of syllabus change!! It has put all of us pharma aspirants in a difficult mode...its same for all!!
Dont think this can hamper your preparation...continue the hard work with the same force...dont let your morale down!! I too am a final yr student and this is a setback for me too and like me all others...
Its said....stress brings out the best in you, so my friend you will definitely fare good if you keep a positive attitude going!!

Thanks a lot ....:) and best of luck but i want to know what book are you going to follow now..i think i will stick to the syllabus books of b.pharm..since books like Piyush , Mohammad ali etc from which we practice MCQ's will no longer be of any use except to study a bit of synopsis.i think we will have to wait till December or January for any new book based on new syllabus. i have already completed a lot of top and now that's not even in the syllabus of gpat 2011.Appreciate your quick reply thanks!!!
see, from the syllabus nothing has been deducted so whatever you have studied till now has not gone waste...instead u have the advantage as you can focus on the other additional subjects added this yr..
Ya...we would have to wait for some books, but regarding individual subjects...the new ones added are:
inorganic chem............chatwal
physical chem.............bahl and tuli
organic chem..............morrison & boyd, paula bruice is also nice..
patho and clinical........roger & walker
dispensing,community and hospital pharmacy..
i am thinking of preparing a dossier on all these...
well, You are fortunate that you have time, coz we have to focus on final yr exams too...so, a bit of problem there...but we wud have to manage it!!

God this is really annoying and on the side ..this is STUPID!
Okay now everyone If you will just look at the syllabus ...on the very first page physical pharmacy is there and if you just open the book ' CVS subrahmanyam Phy. p'ceutics , u will realize ' Oh what im gona do? ..Oh yea i will have to understand , learn everything in this book ..Page By page. And after a week of reading of that u will realize that u have just finished a small part of syllabus ...Continue your journey ..and as u read more and more ..u forget more and more and then u revise ...In the End Its all Gonna come Down To Pure Luck ...Even if u study whole syllabus ...U cant remember the whole ....The amount of syllabus is just shows the arrogant & unprofessional side of the stupid official who dont have anything to do except play with students life...
